The rundown

The Marie-Vincent Foundation dreams of a world free of sexual violence towards children and adolescents. The organization strives to make a difference in many children’s lives, and U92 played a small part by helping redesign their website.

Context

The Marie-Vincent Foundation helps children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence, as well as their families. The organization works with a wide range of counsellors and first responders in this difficult field, and the website must support their various needs.

Mandate

Create a comprehensive reference portal for the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse that would be accessible to youths, parents, educators, teachers, partners, the media, policymakers and donors.

Challenge

Dealing with such a delicate subject requires a great deal of sensitivity and discretion, particularly in the context of imagery, terminology and tone.

Objectifs

  • Accommodate the information needs of the foundation’s diverse audience
  • Promote fundraising activities and encourage online donations
  • Both inform about and promote access to the services provided

A happy place

The Foundation specifically requested a colourful website aesthetic that inspires hope and positivity.

With the use of illustrations that the Foundation commissioned from fellow agency Cossette, we developed a pastel palette that blends infographics, photos and illustrations. We wanted to instill a lively style that puts children at the heart of the experience - just like the Foundation.

Something for everyone

An audit and reorganization of the site’s content was in order to ensure a clean and coherent journey for each and every visitor.

We simplified the content architecture to both unify the website’s navigation experience and ensure that each of the Foundation's target audiences can easily access content that pertains to their specific needs.

Flexible site management

For ease of use on a daily basis, the website is fully mounted on a content management system (CMS), making it easy to add new pages, sections and forms. This gave the Foundation's teams complete autonomy to develop and manage the website according to their needs.
